Thank you for using Moon Phase App (the "App"), developed by Rory Buckley Apps ("we," "us," or "our"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your data when you use the App. By using the App, you consent to these practices.

1. Information We Collect

We collect limited data to provide personalized lunar insights and improve the App:

• Location Data: With your permission, we access approximate device location (via Core Location) to calculate accurate moon phases, rise/set times, and azimuth/altitude. This is used only for in-app features and not stored long-term.
• Usage Analytics: Anonymized data (e.g., app opens, screen views, phase views) via Firebase Analytics to understand usage patterns. No personal identifiers are linked.
• Ad-Related Data: If ads are enabled, Google AdMob collects device ID (IDFA, with consent) for personalized ads. We do not access ad data directly.
• Device Info: Basic details (e.g., iOS version, device type) for crash reporting via Firebase Crashlytics. No names or emails.
• Purchase Data: For in-app purchases (e.g., ad removal), Apple handles payment info; we only track unlock status via UserDefaults.

We do not collect sensitive data (e.g., health, religion) or user content.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Deliver core features (e.g., location-based moon data).
• Personalize ads (via AdMob, with consent).
• Improve the App (analytics/crashes for bug fixes).
• Process purchases (via Apple).

We do not use data for marketing emails or sell it to third parties.

3. How We Share Your Information

• Service Providers: Firebase (Google) for analytics/crashes, AdMob for ads—bound by strict contracts.
• Legal Requirements: Only if required by law (e.g., subpoenas).

No sharing with third-party marketers.

4. Your Rights and Choices

• Permissions: Manage location/ATT in Settings > [App]. Opt out of ads via IAP or ATT denial.
• Access/Delete: Email [your-email@domain.com] to request data access/deletion (we'll respond within 30 days).
• Children: App is not for under 13; no COPPA data collection.

5. Data Security & Retention

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest (Firebase/AdMob). Location/analytics retained 30 days (or until deleted). Purchases stored indefinitely for unlock status.

6. Changes to This Policy

We'll update this policy and notify via App (e.g., on launch). Continued use = acceptance.
